Merritt & Harris, Inc. welcomed Margaret Asimakis, PE, LEED AP, to its New York staff on November 14th. Ms. Asimakis has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY and a Masters in Structural Engineering with a concentration on seismic engineering from the University of Southern California (USC). Ms. Asimakis has worked for several structural engineering firms in the past, including the London office of Thornton Tomasetti Inc. As a Project Manager for Merritt & Harris, Inc.’s Property Condition Assessment Group, she will primarily be responsible for the observation and evaluation of existing properties. She will also assist the firm’s structural engineers in performing review work, especially regarding structures in earthquake zones.
