Demosthenis “Demos” Lorentzos, P.E. joined Merritt & Harris in New York City as a Structural Engineer in the Structural Engineering Group, and as a Project Manager in the Construction Monitoring Group. His responsibilities will include the review of structural documents, the evaluation of the structural components of existing buildings, as well as the construction monitoring of all types of construction projects. Hector Gomez, Jr., MBA, joined our South Florida office as a Project Manager in the Construction Monitoring and Property Condition Assessment Groups. His responsibilities will include assignments in monitoring construction projects of all types, as well as in evaluating the condition of existing buildings. Mr. Gomez has previously worked at Bovis Lend Lease, Kolter Communities, The Kast Construction, and The Related Group. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida-Gainesville, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate and Marketing from the University of Florida-Gainsville.
Jill Hodson, AIA Associate, joined Merritt & Harris in New York City as a Project Manager in the Construction Monitoring Group. Prior to Merritt & Harris, Ms. Hodson owned and operated her own residential design company for 14 years. Operating a company allowed her the opportunity to test ideas, lead teams of consultants, build client relations, and work with local agencies. Ms. Hodson built a network of architectural/engineering collaborators. She has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Houston and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University.
Philip Ragland, AIA, LEED AP joined Merritt & Harris in New York City as a Project Manager in the Property Condition Assessment and Construction Monitoring Groups. As Project Manager, he will be evaluating the condition of existing buildings and monitoring the construction on all types of projects. He has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and Society for College and University Planning. Chris Pavlidis, AIA, LEED Green Associate, rejoins Merritt & Harris in New York City as a Project Manager in the Construction Monitoring Group. His responsibilities at M&H will include the review of all construction documents and on-site monitoring of renovation and new construction projects. Anthony Calvello, AIA, has recently been hired at Merritt & Harris’ headquarters in New York City as an Architectural Reviewer in the Plan and Cost Group. Mr. Calvello is a Registered Architect in the States of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
