Ms. Sparks came to JLL through the acquisition of Merritt & Harris (M&H) by JLL in 2016. Her responsibilities as Vice President include property conditions assessments, review of plans, specifications, contracts, schedules and budgets, onsite monitoring and monthly loan draw requests for both re-development and new construction projects. In addition, Jill provides ongoing support to our clients and other JLL PDS teams for their existing and future projects needs.
From 2001 to 2014, Ms. Sparks owned and operated a design and consulting firm with projects throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts. She led teams of consultants, worked with local agencies, and maintained client relations. She performed on healthcare, pre-k to university, banking and residential projects. She worked directly with the construction managers, sub-contractors, vendors and facilities staff to ensure the project was built to satisfy design intent, budget, and schedule. As well as surveying facility conditions, recommending capital improvements and branding campaigns.
In 2014, Ms. Sparks was employed as a Senior Project Manager focusing on architectural services for retail/mixed-use projects, tasked with managing junior architects, coordinating staff, and project deadlines. Versed with the phases of project delivery from pre-design through post-construction, Jill engages in hands-on design, sketching and document production, new project proposals and presentations, developing office standards and soliciting new employees.
Ms. Sparks has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston, and she attended the Graduate School of Architecture – Columbia University in New York. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, and a NCARB ARE candidate.
