Mr. Marciano performs design review services for adequacy and completeness of mechanical and electrical systems for new construction and renovation work. Mr. Marciano’s property condition assessment work includes detailed reviews of the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and energy conservation systems of existing buildings.
Mr. Marciano joined Merritt & Harris as a Mechanical Engineer in 1996. In 2004, he was promoted to Senior Associate. In 2015, he was elevated to Head of the firm’s Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Group and was appointed to the Management Committee of the firm.
Mr. Marciano, a well-respected Mechanical Engineer in the industry by all clients, has performed MEP analysis for major projects spanning all primary divisions and branches of the firm. As a LEED AP, he has incorporated LEED evaluations for existing buildings into the Property Condition Assessment assignments and assists the Plan & Cost Review Group by analyzing designs for buildings seeking LEED certification. He also has performed evaluations of cogeneration plants and data centers and performed energy audits of many types of properties.
Mr. Marciano has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Cornell University, and a Diploma in Construction Management from The Real Estate Institute at NYU. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is a 20-year member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), US Green Building Council (USGBC), Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), and Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY).
